Businesses Near San Francisco’s Union Square Experience Flooding as a Result of a Broken Water Main – On Time Tech Was There to Rescue Our Clients from Costly Business Downtime!

San Francisco Union Square FloodOn Saturday, July 12th 2014, a subway construction crew accidentally hit a water main near San Francisco’s Union Square, resulting in several hundred thousand gallons of water flooding into the basements of various businesses in the area. As the water line was punctured in the early morning hours, fire and water crews worked hard into the afternoon to pump water out of the flooded basements.

During the unfortunate event, our clients’ building was heavily flooded and the power went out, which left their employees unable to attend the office for a week and a half while the flooding and power outage were resolved.

Looking for Improved Business Continuity? On Time Tech to the Rescue – Our Team of San Francisco IT Support Experts Have the Experience & Expertise Needed to Seamlessly Migrate Your Business to the Cloud!

When disasters occur, whether it’s a flood, power outage, or earthquake, it’s fundamental to ensure you’re able to recover. In fact, 78% of businesses fail to properly prepare to recover their IT systems and data in the event of a disaster. But when you choose to migrate your business to the cloud, you’re able to avoid the costly disruptions and downtime associated with disasters.

Consider this: our clients’ building was heavily flooded and the power was out, but fortunately, we were able to move their servers to the cloud, in order to ensure their staff was able to continue operations remotely with no issues. Ultimately, the cloud offers a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Reduced operational expenses: The cloud enables you to pay only for what you use, which means the costs are proportionate to your requirements.
  • Simplified installation: The cloud doesn’t require additional hardware or software – and the implementation is done remotely.
  • Decreased set-up time: The cloud enables you save time in terms of set-up, as cloud computing becomes functional faster than other systems.
  • Improved mobility: The cloud allows you to improve mobility and business continuity through remote access to applications and data.

Plus, the cloud is highly automated to reduce the time and stress associated with system updates and backups.
