[Lance Stone](https://ontimetech.valeonetworks.com/blog/author/ulisticadmin) : Jul 23, 2015, 12:28:10 PM [Managed IT Services](https://ontimetech.valeonetworks.com/blog/tag/managed-it-services) On July 17, Microsoft updated the Windows support lifecycle fact sheet to guarantee support for the upcoming OS, [Windows 10](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/features), for up to 10 years. This decade of support will be offered to all stock-keeping units (the different editions of the operating system), including Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise. [![Windows 10 Business](https://ontimetech.valeonetworks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Blog%20Images/Imported_Blog_Media/Screen-Shot-2015-07-22-at-3_23_42-PM-1.png?width=593&height=133&name=Screen-Shot-2015-07-22-at-3_23_42-PM-1.png)](https://ontimetech.valeonetworks.com/hubfs/Blog%20Images/Imported_Blog_Media/Screen-Shot-2015-07-22-at-3_23_42-PM-1.png) Windows 10 will be available to consumers on July 29, and is to include many state-of-the-art features and services: 1. **The operating system will boast the “traditional decade” of support.** Microsoft 10 will be given five years of “mainstream” support until October 13, 2020, and five more years of “extended” support until October 13, 2025. 1. **Updates to the system will be continually applied at regular intervals.** Windows 10’s user interface and user experience will be regularly improved via updates to ensure a high quality and up-to-date product long after launch.
